Happy Halloween

My little cute skunk

She loves picture time lately

Excuse the background of the pics, I was organizing our pantry since my mom was in town.

My precious Trysten was the cutest cow. He is three and a half months here. Still the bluest eyes and red/blonde hair.

I couldn't get the full affect of her costume, so here is Honey and Harlowe walking down the street.

In our new neighborhood, a lot of people left candy out in bowls for children to grab since they were Trick or Treating too. Good idea, but the Different clan bought a bunch of candy and didn't think of this great idea. So needless to say we are hoarding a bunch of candy. We will hopefully do better next year.

My sweet baby, he enjoyed being out and about, looking at all the people. He fell asleep while walking back to the house.

Harlowe with all her loot

She is actually trying to share her candy and love the matted skunk hair, ha.

My baby was tuckered out from all the fun and festivities.

Looking back on our Halloween, it started out pretty stressful to say the least but turned out pretty terrific. We had a lot of fun. To start the day off, Dustin woke up pretty sick, he was having vertigo (dizzy spells) and nausea. I told him to drink plenty of fluids and get some rest. But he hardly drank that day but he took an Excedrin Migraine and got plenty of rest. Thank God my mom was in town because she helped me out a lot.

I had a great day, I went running and the weather could not have been nicer. Sunny yet cool, perfect fall running weather. After the run I cooked up some yummy chicken noodle soup and organized my pantry, all in all a productive day. Although when I was organizing the pantry, I lost track of time and all of a sudden it was 4:00pm and I was still a sweaty mess. I had to feed Harlowe, get ready, breast feed Trysten, get the kids ready and tend to my dying husband. My mom helped me of course, she fed Harlowe and got her ready, thanks mom.

Dustin was pretty sick so he was going to stay at home but he could see the disappointment on my face so he said he would try to go with us. We were planning on going into town to meet up with his best friend's family, he has a daughter Harlowe's age, and I thought it would be fun for Harlowe to be with other kids. But once we all finally got into the car, Dustin was about to throw up and Trysten was crying. I started sweating and I was frustrated by now. After a little arguing and Dustin's plea for me to be a little more sympathetic, we decided to stay in our neighborhood and Dustin even went with us. We even got some cute pics in before venturing out. I guess the nurse in me should be more sympathetic but I really wanted him to be there for Harlowe's first real Halloween. I am glad he is such a good husband and father and went with us. I felt really bad because he was stumbling down the street, holding onto me for dear life.

After all was said and done, Harlowe kept saying I like Trick or Treating. She loves, loves, loves candy. I was afraid she wouldn't wear her Halloween costume but she loved it and she got so many compliments on it. My mom bought both kids costumes because I am using the excuse: we just moved, I am back to work and with two kids it is hard to go shopping. Blah, blah, blah, I have been using this excuse for a long time now, so hopefully I will get it together sooner or later, ha! Thanks mom for helping me out so much.

To update you on Dustin's condition because he made me feel guilty because he thought he had a brain tumor, ha. We went to the doctor today and he is going to get an MRI soon, so we will let you know but he is feeling a lot better today. The doctor thinks it might be a sinus infection or maybe a migraine, but definitely not a brain tumor. The good wife that I am went to the doctor with him, ha. I am saying ha because in the waiting room he said he would never want to be one of my patients because I am not the least bit sympathetic and he thinks I have bad bedside manner. I guess I will have to work on my bedside manner with my husband, ha.

Oh, Dustin's mom's birthday was on Halloween, Happy Birthday:) Hope you had a great birthday.
