Bluebonnets in San Antonio

This post is long over due but better late than never. These pictures were taken in April when Fred and his family came to visit.

Parker and Harlowe playing in the bluebonnets.

I used some photo editing skills on this pic, my baby girl is something else. She is such a talker now, sometimes I don't know where she gets some of the things she tells Dustin and I. She was doing really good about the potty training thing. But this summer in her Montessori school, I wanted to scream at the director because my baby was having more accidents than normal and she was going thru something which I should have caught earlier.

I was furious because Harlowe came home with her shoes on the wrong foot twice, poop stains in her undies, someones clothes when she had an accident, when we provided extra clothes, they couldn't find her backpack multiple times and just now found her nap map in the middle of July, so who knows what she has been sleeping on. She was bounced around from teacher to teacher this summer and I guess did not feel comfortable enough to ask to go to the restroom.

I tell you, I was furious and wanted to yell at someone so bad and take her out of the school so fast. But I was the one to go talk to the director because Dustin didn't want to do it because he is the one who drops her off everyday. So I got the privilege and of course I approached her in a professional and calm manner but she just cut me off and said she would put Harlowe with a permanent teacher who had been there for 13 years. I wanted to ripe the director a new one so I looked around for another school but no openings and year waiting lists is all we found, boo hoo.

Or if we wanted to pay $900 a month we could do that, yikes. I really want to muster up the finances to pull her out but this would put such a strain on us, I just cannot do it. I am at a cross roads but now she is doing a lot better with no accidents and now the teacher knows where all her things are. You would think at a Montessori school she would be getting better care? Anyway I have been fuming about this for a couple weeks so I guess this is my one outlet. Sorry to dump, but it is not easy turning your child over into someone else and you expect her to get the same care you would give her, right? Or am I just being one of those crazy mom's?

Needless to say the director has been super nice to Dustin these days. We are thinking about putting Tryst in the same school in September because Dustin will be starting a new job so pray for him, ha. NO REALLY!

My sweet babies were 2 1/2 years and 9 months. I am not that good at photo editing so the ugly blanket is in the picture.

My mom and the grand kids preparing for the photo op

SO CUTE. Parker is 3 1/2 years

Look out there are a ton of pics of my brother's fam, so be aware. They dressed so cute but Dustin and I on the other hand, not so cute.

Sorry, this was a good pic and my not so good editing skills were trying to take Harlowe out of the background but now there looks like a headless ghost in the background, yikes. I really suck, ha.

I tried to crop the ugly storage unit out of the pic, I didn't notice it until Dustin said something.

Yikes, we are looking rough for our photo op and I am looking large and in charge. I kept on telling Dustin, I look good for having two babies. And he keeps on telling me, how long are you going to use that excuse, ha. I wish I had more time to run but I do not have a double stroller and even if I did, I don't think I could push it very far, ha. Dustin said, once again he is ready to quit smoking and start being healthier, so we will see. Hopefully when it cools off we can start running again. It is so hot here, even in the morning's when I get home I bust a sweat walking from my car to the house and it is about ten steps. I guess I just have to muster up the strength to get out there.

Happy Birthday Trysten: First Birthday

Dustin's dad and Tryst

Dustin's Dad and Tryst

Photo Op with the Different's: Be aware there a a lot of photos

Tryst and his great grandfather, Roy

My baby and his first cake, which was a recipe from the Neely's, if you watch the Food Network. It was a strawberry jello cake, not so good. Dustin made it from scratch but we really didn't like it. Tryst has it all over his face, not by choice but because Dustin attacked him with cake.

The pictures are totally backward, this is how he started out, not so happy.

Tryst is a one year old, time has flown by. He is not walking yet but he will stand on his own without holding onto furniture, we are just waiting for him to take a step. I can wait because I love holding him and snuggling on him. With Harlowe I felt this big pressure for her to meet all her developmental marks but with Tryst, laid back. Or maybe it is such a whirlwind with two little one's that I don't have time to even stress about it. We are working on the walking though, Dustin drags him around the house with one hand, ha.

He is pointing a lot and saying mama and dada but nothing else really. Dustin's parents stated he said another word but my mind is like mush these days, I cannot even remember what they said.

Dustin took Tryst to his one year check up by himself because I worked an overtime the night before so I was snoozing. He talked poor Dr. Zuniga to death, he got her whole life story.

Tryst is sleeping through the night and goes to sleep around six to seven and wakes up at eight. He is a really good sleeper and we are really blessed to have had two really good sleepers. He is still a testy little boy and wants his way or it is the highway.
