Christmas Before Santa

I haven't blogged in forever. There are so many pics I need to post. 

But back on the bandwagon, I go. 

These are some pics we took in front of the fireplace before going to see Santa at the Mall.

The girls. Harlowe has grown so much. She says she is a fashionista all the time.

I don't know where she got that? But she thinks she is the SH--. 

I am glad she has the confidence of Dustin because I know I didn't have that confidence growing up.

Trysten has such a strong personality and such a hard headed little boy.

He is definitely a mommas boy and Dustin thinks he has a serious problem,

but hey, whats not to love, ha.

Dustin and I both took a week off to visit my brother and my mom in San Antonio this week. I had a great time and it was nice to be off and just relax. I did a lot of running, which I totally fell off the bandwagon since starting the new job. I have no excuses now because I am a graduate school drop out.  I had an A in Pharm but I just couldn't hack it, I was yelling at the kids and Dustin all the time.

I totally had a life evaluation moment and said it wasn't worth it. I am not really passionate about nursing anymore. My passion is cooking and if I could, I would go to culinary school instead.

Dustin has been up to a lot too. He is in Business Development for a local ambulance company. His passion is still real estate. So hopefully the New Year will be great for all of us.

I don't know why Dustin is not in any of these photos. Although, we have been trying to eat lunch together every Friday so we can have some alone time without the kiddos.

It has been fun because we have been trying a bunch of new restaurants and just browsing around, shopping. 

We ate at Past and Provisions in Houston. It is one of Dustin's faves, he loves the drinks. 

We split some Shashimi and a Cesar salad.The Cesar salad was one of the best salads I have ever had. It is a whole head of Romaine rolled in dressing and then rolled in toasted breadcrumbs with toasted capers. It also had anchovies on top with edible lemon rids. 

So delish, I could eat this everyday.

Crazy pics, but that is Dustin for you. We also split a pizza with grapes on it, it sounds so weird but it was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Houston. 

Last Day of Tumbling Tigers

I have fell off the blogging bandwagon but I am going to try it again. I just need to make time.

My weekends seemed to be filled with cleaning, cooking and getting ready for the week to come, ugh!

Harlowe is four and about to turn 5. She loves gymnastics so much, this is her favorite activity. 

Harlowe is now moving up to Tumbling Tigers and now she is going to be in the big gym with all the older kids. My baby is growing up so fast. She is so excited to be moving to the big girls gym.

I also enrolled Trysten in gymnastics because he loves climbing on things and he loves the monkey bars. But a cart wheel from him will be interesting.

Santa

I cannot believe I haven't blogged since February but a lot has been going on, and I really don't have an excuse.

I started a new job during the day so no more blogging at work.

I was studying for a certification exam for work and now I am going to try to go back to school.

I don't know how that is going to work because it feels like the kids are more attached to me now more than ever.

The kiddos are in Montessori school full time now and Dustin is working full time also.

I am just have to find time to blog because I know this is the only way to keep track of all the pics and things going on in our lives.

The kiddos were not happy at all but I made Dustin take the pics. Harlowe was okay but Trysten not so good.

All in all we have been a busy bunch but I am going to get back on the blogging bandwagon.

The only thing I don't like about working days is, I only get the weekends off and everything is so busy and crowded but at least I am not as tired.

Our tree looks a little crazy because the kiddos decorated it and we just left it as is.

I don't know why Tryst is the only one dressed and we are all in our PJ's.

A basketball hoop for Tryst, I need to buy another ball because Rocco bit a whole in the little basketball. So needless to say Tryst hasn't really played with it.

Rocco is just a puppy but growing so fast. He is only four months old here, I think.

I found these necklaces on Etsy, I love them but Harlowe will not wear it for a long period of time because she says they are too heavy.

Santa bought Tryst and Harlowe a tee ball set. I really want to enroll Tryst in tee ball but he is not old enough yet. He starts swim lessons at the end of February.

Harlowe wanted something to practice tying her shoes and now she can do it herself. It takes her a few tries but she is pretty good at it. Dustin has really been working with her.

Harlowe was really excited about Christmas this year as you can tell.

Tryst finally started school this week and he actually did pretty good. Dustin said he really didn't cry that much when he dropped him off. Dustin has to be the one to take the kiddos to school because I don't think I have the heart to leave them.

We, not really, I let Tryst bring his blankie to school because this is his comfort measure. Dustin thinks I am crazy but a new school and without blankie, I can't be that heartless, ha.

He still doesn't want to potty train but hopefully the teachers can whip this little boy in shape.

Harlowe is so attached to me lately, she doesn't want me to go to work ever but I guess this is normal. I always tell her I have to go to work if she wants new clothes, toys and wants to go fun places.
She will usually be okay with this explanation but lately she has been saying, "I have enough new toys and clothes. I just want you to spend time with me."

Isn't that the sweetest thing? I have to blog about these moments because one day she will want to spend all her time with her friends and leave me in the dust, ha.
